Angelica’s Story

Hair Loss: The Nightmare Becomes a Reality

One of our favorite 5-year-olds, the sweet Angelica, and her wonderful parents told us how much a Follea wig has meant to her:

My name is Angelica. I am 5 years old, I live in Florida, and I am in pre-kindergarten. I have been using my Follea wig since I started this school year!

I am wearing the Follea Gripper. I got my wig last summer, around June. It is brown with bangs.

I wake up at 6:30 a.m. to get ready for school. My parents usually help me get ready. My mommy is the one who usually puts my wig on before she leaves for work. My daddy takes my little brother and me to school. I wear my wig all day at school. My teachers know that I have alopecia because I was totally bald last year in preschool, and they help me whenever I need it.

My style is shoulder length and easy to style. I call it the “Snow White” look! On school days, I wear my wig all day. My Follea wig is very comfortable, and I have never had any issues with it. I don¹t worry about it ever falling off! My eyes almost came out of my head, when I first saw it!!! I was jumping up and down with excitement when I put it on! The first thing I told my mom was, “It doesn¹t itch, it fits my little head, I feel beautiful!”” My mommy took me to the park, and I felt free as a bird, running, going on the swings and looking normal like all the other girls!

I like wearing bows on my Follea – sometimes bows on both sides and sometimes a big one on the side. I love that I can wear different styles like all my other friends!

My mommy inspires me. She finds alopecia groups so I can meet other kids with alopecia. It¹s cool seeing that I’m not the only one like this.

If you are feeling down about yourself because of hair loss, look into Follea. The wigs are very well made, comfortable, and they look and feel just as if it were part of you. Most importantly, they help you get your self-confidence back! It did that for me, and I am only 5!
